PROJECT
At the height of COVID, the experienced several recruitment challenges and as a result, lost a number of pupils. To help get these numbers back up again, Feel Good Films came on board as a production partner to supercharge their marketing efforts. With such an amazing story and community behind them, we knew that - by bringing their values to life through film - we could grow the number of parents enrolling their children.
We decided to create three films: a brand film, to showcase the story of the school, and everything that embodies them as an organisation; a film about the nursery in order to focus recruitment efforts there; and a film focusing on the kids, showcasing the perspective of the school through the voice of the pupils attending it.
We also created a series of social media adverts to drive awareness during a high recruitment period. In true Feel Good Films style, we spent time on the school grounds talking to both senior staff and the children in order to understand their culture and immerse ourselves in the community. This process was crucial to decide the narrative we were going to create for the brand film.
We spent three extra days capturing content that we would later repurpose as additional social media assets. On our first day, we went from classroom to classroom to film “a day in the life” and on our second day, we interviewed and captured footage of all the staff and team members.
We chose to tell the story of the school, the pupils, the teachers, the parents of the pupils, and other staff members in order to create an emotionally-driven narrative that people would connect with. We quickly realised that we wanted the video to reflect the tight-knit family feel that we experienced during the production period.
