Space to Become

Feel Good Films partnered with St Mary’s to create Space to Become, a school film centred on the opportunities students have to learn, grow and flourish.

Rather than simply showcasing the school’s facilities, we developed a narrative around what those spaces make possible. From scientific discovery and creative expression to reflection, performance and personal development, the film demonstrates how St Mary’s gives every student the freedom and encouragement to explore who they might become.

Every Space Tells a Story

Working closely with the St Mary’s team, we identified the locations that best represented the character, values and breadth of the school.

The cutting-edge virtual reality room reflects a forward-looking approach to learning, while the chapel connects students to the school’s history and provides space for reflection. Classrooms, creative areas and performance spaces come together to reveal an environment where different interests, talents and ambitions are encouraged.

Each location was selected not simply for how it looked, but for what it communicated about the student experience.

Bringing the School’s Values to Life

To connect these different spaces and experiences, we created a bespoke spoken-word narrative rooted in the school’s values.

The piece bridges St Mary’s rich heritage with the opportunities available to students today, creating a film that feels both timeless and forward-looking. It invites audiences to imagine the many different paths a student might follow — whether they see themselves becoming a scientist, architect, performer or something entirely their own.

The completed film now sits prominently across the school’s website and social channels, helping St Mary’s communicate its distinctive character and stand out within London’s competitive education landscape.

More than a tour of the school, Space to Become is an expression of what St Mary’s makes possible.
